Profile: Venerable Ronrawee
Birthplace: Bangkok, Thailand
Year of Birth: 1975
Venerable Ronrawee’s journey into Buddhism began at the age of eighteen when he developed a deep interest in Buddhism and meditation after reading various Buddhist texts during his university years. This passion for the teachings of the Buddha continued to grow, and after completing his degree in civil engineering in 1996, he decided to fully dedicate his life to the path of Dhamma.
In 1996, he joined Dhammakaya Temple in Pathum Thani, Thailand, and became a Buddhist monk under the guidance of Venerable Dhammajayo, the abbot of the temple. He spent the next four years immersed in the study and practice of the Thai Theravada tradition, with a special focus on the Dhammakaya meditation technique, which was re-discovered by Phra Mong Kol Thepmuni (Venerable Sodh Candasaro).
In 2000, Venerable Ronrawee arrived in Australia to assist in the establishment of Dhammakaya Temple Sydney. Three years later, in 2003, he founded the Dhammakaya Society of Victoria, where he currently serves as the president and a teaching monk.
With twenty-eight years of monastic life, Venerable Ronrawee continues to share the teachings of the Buddha, helping others find inner peace through meditation and the practice of Dhamma.
